Tattoo After Care: Taking Care of Your Tattoo

But, it’s better to be well prepared of these instructions prior to getting your tattoo. Tattoo aftercare is simple, if you properly follow the suggestions.

Tattoo aftercare:

Usually the tattoo artists, cover your tattoo by using a bandage, cling wrap or gauze. You have to keep your tattoo clean in order to avoid bacterial virus. Wash the tattoo at least twice every day for the first week. Apply ointment on the tattoo 4-6 times for the first 72 hours. It will keep the tattoo moisturized and prevent its remover.

After 3-4 days of using ointment, switch to moisturizing lotions like Lubriderm and Eucerin.

The tattoo will bleed ink for the first few days after tattooing. So wear something that doesn’t mind developing a little ink entirely on.

Do not re-bandage a tattoo. Never use petroleum-based products or products with extra additives like skin softeners or scents for the 1st two weeks. Try on this water-based products that are on your tattoo.

Try to ridiculous it gets sun for up to two or 3 weeks. Too much exposure to sun will result within the fading of shade of the tattoo. After two weeks, you can lie in the sun or go together with a tanner. But, make sure to apply a thin layer of SPF 25 or other sunscreen lotions inside the tattoo.
